Scholarships at Rashtriya Military Schools
According to official report available in the prospectus of RMS issued at the time of online application, following is the text on “Scholarships at Rashtriya Military Schools”
15% of the non-entitled cadets (i.e. wards of service officer and civilians) in the school are awarded means-cum-merit scholarships on the basis of a common scholarship test conducted by the Army Headquarters.
The scholarships are awarded as per following rules:
- Full remission of the tution fee in the case of those cadets whose parent’s income is less than ₹3,00,000/- in a financial year.
- Fees at half rates are charged from cadet whose parents income exceeds ₹ 3,00,000/- but is not more than ₹ 4,50,000/- in the financial year.
Rashtriya Military Schools fee structure for academic year 2026
Military Schools provide a subsidised education & schooling for wards of defence personnel (70% seats), officers (20% seats) and civilians (10% of total seats). Age Limit and Educational Qualification for Class VI
RMS has revised date of birth eligibility for admission in academic year 2027-28. For a Boy/Girl seeking admission in class 6, following table contains the RMS class 6 eligibility limit. Admission into Classes VI and IX is on the basis of available vacancies. Parents/students should also note that all admission is for Boarders (Hostel) only. No day scholars are allowed. Age Limit and Educational Qualification for Class IX
NTA has revised eligibility date of birth for class 9 admission from academic year 2027-28. For a Boy/Girl seeking admission in class 9, following table contains the RMS class 9 eligibility limit. For admission in Class 9th, the candidate should have passed Class 8 from a government/recognised school before the date of admission to a Rashtriya Military School.
