About Sainik Schools?
The Sainik Schools are a group of Public residential Schools in India. The plan to establish Sainik schools was introduced in 1961 with the primary aim to train its cadets to join National Defence Academy (NDA) & Indian Naval Academy (NA).

All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) is a qualifying exam for entry into Sainik Schools. Sainik Schools accept students in Class 6 & Class 9 every year. Eligibility for Sainik School Exam in January 2027
For Class IX : Boys and Girls (Both) who are born from 01 April 2012 to 31 March 2014 are eligible to apply. Class VIII pass certificate is required at the time of admission.
For Class VI : Boys and Girls (Both) who are born from 01 April 2015 to 31 March 2017 are eligible to apply.
