Eligibility for Rashtriya Military School Entrance Exam 2024-25

For aspiring students who are looking to take admission in Rashtriya Military Schools in academic year 2024-25, at first they have to apply for RMS CET in Dec 2024. From this year onwards, RMS CET will be conducted in Online mode only.

For RMS CET in December 2024, eligibility for boys & girls is:
For class 6 admission, Child should be born between 01 April 2013 to 31 March 2015. Whereas, for class 9 admission, Child should be born between 01 April 2010 to 31 March 2012.

Class 6 : Both Boys & Girls = 01 April 2013 – 31 March 2015
Class 9 : Both Boys & Girls = 01 April 2010 – 31 March 2012

Important Note: Six months relaxation in upper age limit is permissible for the Children of Defence personnel Killed in Action for admission to Class VI and Class IX respectively.

School Qualification for Rashtriya Military School Admission 2024

Rashtriya Military Schools accept admissions in class 6 & class 9. For admission in class 6, child should have passed class 5 from a government recognised school before the date of admission. Students studying in Class V are also eligible to appear in the entrance test for Class VI.

For admission in class 9, child should have passed Class 8 from a government recognised school before the date of admission. Students studying in Class 8 are also eligible to appear in the entrance test for Class 9. Military school admission 2024-25 online application last date is 19 September 2024.

Mode of Rashtriya Military School Entrance Exam

From year 2024 onwards, Rashtriya Military School CET is an online multiple choice based entrance exam where applicants will sit in a computer based test centre. You can download Sainik School OMR Sheet here for practice.

” For Class VI & IX, 10% seats or 30 vacancies maximum (put together in all 05 RMSs) will be reserved for Girl candidates. “

Number of Seats for Boys in RMS 2025-26

For five Rashtriya Military Schools, a vacancy of 80-90 seats per school for class 6 admission are available. Whereas, for class 9 admission the number of available vacancies hover from 15-25 seats per school. The reservation of seats is following:

(a) 70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy and Air Force (including ex servicemen).
(b) 30% for wards of Officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired officers) and wards of civilians.
(c) A max of 50 seats in all classes put together are earmarked for category “Killed in Action” in all five RMSs together at any point of time.

Further 27%, 15% and 7.5% of seats are reserved for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), SC and ST candidates respectively in all
categories.

How to fill rashtriya military school form?

To successfully apply for rashtriya military school form 2024-25, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to official application portal here.

Step 2: Choose “New User” Registration. Fill basic details such as Name of Candidate, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Mobile number & Email ID

Step 3: Once you submit all these details, a new screen will open where you would be required to fill OTP from your personal mobile number & email ID

Step 4: Once successful, your registration ID will be received on your chosen mobile number.

Store registration ID & Password safely. Do not forget or lose them.

Step 5: A new Login window will open where you will be required to submit Registration ID & password.

Step 6: Once you login successfully, a new screen with few already completed details from previous window will appear. Here you will lock your Military School Choice & Exam city for Rashtriya Military School Common Entrance Test 2024.

Step 7: In the next step/Screen, you will be required to upload Signature & photo of candidate in prescribed format & size.

Step 8: In the last step, you will be prompted towards a payment screen where you can pay necessary exam fee & your rashtriya military school online form will be successfully submitted. You will receive a confirmation of same.
